President’s Report
By Board President, Stephen Ratcliff
Greetings Airmen’s Members,
Hope you are all having a nice start to the fall season. Fall is always a time of change as we begin to look forward to the oncoming winter season. Here at the Alaska Airmen’s, we are also in a time of change with the departure of our former Executive Director, Abby Austin. Under Abby’s guidance, the Alaska Airmen’s Association has continued to flourish in its mission, and we have successfully remained true to the pillars of the association: Protect, Preserve, and Promote General Aviation in Alaska. I want to thank Abby for her commitment to the Airmen’s over the past four years as well as for her guidance on growth in Next Gen, scholarships, advocacy, and the wonderful Great Alaska Aviation Gatherings we’ve held in Palmer over the last few years. Abby will truly be missed, and we wish her well in her future endeavors. In the interim, we are in the process of filling the open Executive Director position. If you have an interest in learning more or applying, please reach out to the Airmen’s office or on the website. (apply@alaskaairmen.org)
We are looking forward to embarking on the next chapter as well as a successful finish to 2024.
Fly safe,
Stephen Ratcliff
President
Alaska Airmen’s Association
