NEXTGEN | ENGAGEMENT | SAFETY COMMUNICATIONS | SCHOLARSHIP
PURPOSE: Plan the focus and direction of programs and services to maximize member engagement and benefit the aviation community.
As Needed Meetings to Discuss Topics such as:
- Defining the core safety values of the Association
- Creating an improved channel for members and the general public to communicate safety concerns and successes.
- Making recommendations to the Board of Directors on the allocation of resources, staff, and budget to safety related programs.
- Planning of initiatives and outreach campaigns on safety related
Meetings are currently scheduled as needed as initiatives arise.

- Identifying user groups and their needs as they relate to GA in Alaska
- Establishing a framework for the culture and values of the Association
- Setting goals and priorities for growing and strengthening the Association and community
- Planning of events and outreach campaigns

PURPOSE: Grow the Association’s Scholarship program to support workforce development in the GA industry in Alaska.
Monthly meetings to discuss topics such as:
- Fundraising and investment strategies to increase the available scholarship funds
- Improving the application and award process to identify and support the candidates most likely to succeed
- Planning of events and outreach campaigns to reach the largest possible number of potential applicants
- Establishing an annual Scholarship

PURPOSE: To connect and grow the next generation of aviation in Alaska by sharing our passion for flying, fostering an environment of open communication and learning, and passing down the knowledge of those who came before us.
What we do
- Provide Scholarships to facilitate growth and success in all fields of aviation
- Host useful aviation seminars (i.e., winter flying 101, ski flying, float flying, remote survival basics, mountain flying, etc.)
- Provide connections to meet other like-minded people in the field
- Network and connect with local aviation businesses and professionals to begin facilitation for workforce development (air carriers, Airframe and Powerplant mechanics, Certified Flight Instructors, collegiate programs, aircraft fabricators, etc.)
- Partner with EAA Young Eagles flights (free discovery flights for kids, (click to learn more)
- Provide volunteer and community service opportunities
