2021 Great Alaska Aviation Gathering

This year things are going to look different than any other tradeshow we’ve hosted before! Our venue has changed to the Alaska State Fairgrounds and Palmer Municipal Airport in Palmer, Alaska! The Great Alaska Aviation Gathering will include more FREE youth activities than ever before, more space, new and familiar vendor faces and more AIRPLANE ACTION!!

With over 250 public and private runways just in the Matanuska Borough alone, over 10,000 aircraft owners in the state of Alaska, 6.5 times the number of enplanements compared to the rest of the country, it is safe to say Alaska is filled with aviation enthusiasts!

Alaska State Fairgrounds

Located in the Matanuska Valley, the fairgrounds has a little over 300 acres of meeting spaces, buildings, and entertainment venues. It is well known for holding the Alaska State Fair, which in 2018 had almost 300,000 attendees! The Alaska State Fairgrounds is located in the heart of the fastest growing region in the state! With more space and attendees, the Alaska Airmen’s Association will have the largest trade show ever before!

Palmer Municipal Airport

The Warren “Bud” Woods Palmer Municipal Airport, located about 1 mile away from the Alaska State Fairgrounds, mission is to “provide a safe, efficient and customer-focused airport to serve aviation needs in the South-central region of Alaska, and continue to expand aviation related businesses on the airport.”
