If there were ever a Tower crew that should qualify for an award it is the Lake Hood Tower crew.
I have monitored ops via the web cam for three years or more, as well as flow out of Lake Hood as a newby. Today there were several "not familiars" in the airspace some even a little over the lines. Courteous, helpful, non-condesending, help was given to each pilot operating in a strange enviroment. That spells professionalism.
It would be a perfect place to train new ATC recruits.

You think they are good now you should have seen them back in the 70's and 80's when the lake was really busy. Day before hunting season was usually unbelievable. Have seen 20 aircraft waiting to take off on each end of the lake (no brakes) was # 12 to land once. Onetime never talked to the tower ( to busy) just got in line and landed and taxied to dock

Those controllers never stopped talking for 12 hours
