A visit to Lake Hood had been on my "must do" list since I was a lad (over a half-century ago. The dream finally came true when my wife and I spent 4 days in Anchorage prior to departing on a cruise back to Vancouver. Weather was not great but we spent a lot of time at the lake and saw the C206 on Aerocets that is often in the webcam pictures. I look at the webcam almost every day. It is a constant reminder of our magic experience of seeing hundreds of floatplanes in one place and keeps our memories so fresh. Here in Australia it is a big deal if you see more than half a dozen together!
Congratulations on starting the forum - another reason for me to log on often.
George Beattie.

I enjoy the webcam and have forwarded this link to my flying buddies here in Tennessee. I have personally walked the entire shoreline of the lake and was amazed that almost every foot is occupied by a float plane! I look foward to returning this August (and miss Oshkosh) to participate in my two favorite pastimes...fishing and flying.

I really enjoy the webcam and have it on nearly every day. I also like the ATC conversation. It is no doubt that a live video feed would be really amazing but I think that is something that will come a little further down the road. I am hoping to get to Alaska someday but I guess that is also some day down the road.

Webcam Page.

What a great find this is.

Would it be possible to remove all the advert and titles bars so when refreshed the pictures is also on screen.

Another ideas would be for the webcam to refresh itself every 5-10 -15 seconds that would be awesome.

We'll see what we can do.

Hi there. I'm popping in from the England (Surrey). I love this website and the views are fantastic. I still haven't quite worked out the sequence of the cam though. Is it ok to take pics ?? Do you have a gallery on here for members pics. With such lovely views you could start a monthly forum photo competition. Anyway I have no idea where this post is going to end up so here goes :?
Best wishes from the UK
Helen

Photos are official property of the association, but you can feel free to capture any of the photos and post them here on the forum for others to see.
