Well Judith, the picnic table has returned so the bears will be out soon, too. I still think the ice is going out by May 7.

I would expect that the ice will go out this year at the last possible moment.

I thought that might have been you - you can always add a name so we know who we are talking to. 8-)

I'm just wondering why we've not heard from Don or Airkid have they given up after all those years shoreside?

I am still here Judith can't remember my pass word to log back in
Airkid has moved back to Anchorage and working for the city. He can watch ice melt in real time. I am sure he will show up on the camera soon :D My guess for ice out is May 12

You had me wondering Don, glad you have broken 'radio' silence to join in again.
Don't talk to me about passwords I have so many I'm lost too, at times. Is it my poor memory or is the ice/snow melting from the shore quicker than in previous years? :?: Or is it different camera angles giving this impression.
All the best
Judith UK

Tomorrow may be the day, wind forcast for May 5 at Anchorage 13kts, that can get the waves moving and ice packed to the shore.

Looks like ice is floating Judith, all it will take now is a good 25-30 mph southeast wind and it will be gone :D
