I've been listening/viewing the Alaska Airmen's Association WebCam for roughly 3 months now, and totally addicted to it! :o Listen all day, everyday.

Thank You for providing this "Second-To-None" service! :P

Right this minute I'm in Toronto, Canada... but I usually am in Talkeetna or Anchorage... I just can't get enough of Alaska.

Hi to all of you across the USA I am viewing from North East Anchorage. My daughter and grand children live on Lake Shore Drive and have a perfect view of Lake Hood from their condo balcony. Every room with a view. They see in real life what we see on this webcam. So I can be there and see what they see day or night. How neat is that? We have been noticing that there is a small amount of ash in the air. We have been here in Anchorage 30 years and have never seen the colors in the sky like the last two summers.. The volcano (Mt. Redoubt) is about 97 miles south of Lake Hood. It is still putting out a little steam and that changes some of the sky to pink and grey. Not to mention, ash in our vacume cleaners every week. It's not being reported as a significant amount. It is NOT interfering with air travel.

On second thought, it could be coming in from Iceland, we are on the same meridian.

regards....dorothy

Montana, can't make it up this year Matt so you window to Lake Hood will have to suffice until we can be there in person. Thanks for your work.

Well stay tuned....... New cam going in on July 15. Wide angle, great resolution, and this time we are streaming the video. I just hope we have enough bandwidth.
