Checked tower broadcast out of Miami tower, no static so must be something with PANC/PALH

There is a very small delay built into these transmissions like the 5 second delay on live television. I am guessing that something has gone wrong with that system. Note that when a transmission is heard the "open mike" is heard after the transmission not before or during. That is only a guess. Perhaps someone with more knowledge will chime in and set us straight or even better fix the problem.

On 126.8 I'm getting background static like an open mic. Its has been that way for 48hrs so no battery would last that long. Anyone else hearing this? Or suggestions for a source.
